Calculating the driving time of a truck
An ordinary route planner calculates with the speed of a car. A truck drives at no more than 80 km/h on the motorway. Tolmijden adjusts the driving time accordingly, so your planning is right.
How Tolmijden calculates
Per road section Tolmijden uses the lower of two speeds: that of the route planner and 80 km/h. On minor roads where you drive more slowly anyway, nothing changes; on the motorway it does.
What is not included
Tolmijden does not include stop time per stop, loading and unloading, waiting times or the driver's driving and rest times.
Driving time counts in the costs

Frequently asked questions
Why 80 km/h?
That is the maximum speed for trucks on the motorway in the Netherlands.
